Felipe Massa insists he can be a competitive force on the streets of Monte Carlo, despite admitting it isn’t a circuit he particularly enjoys driving on.
The Brazilian has been accused of only being able to win on a handful of circuits, particularly Sakhir, Interlagos and Istanbul Park, where he claimed his third consecutive victory a fortnight ago.
Up until his distant third-place finish behind the McLarens in Monaco last year, Massa had made several major mistakes on the barrier-enclosed track during his four previous visits.
He admits the tight and twisty circuit is not one that particularly excites him, but refutes suggestions that this means he can't perform well there.
    .
what the drivers say about monte carlo.
    .
    - To be fast in Monaco you have to be precise, delicate and above all brave. The street circuit represents the ultimate challenge for a contemporary Formula 1 driver.
    .
    - Driving a Formula 1 car around Monaco is a crazy experience because it's so narrow, but it's also a fantastic challenge.
    .
    - You have to decide everything on the corner entries and there's no space for error if you get it wrong.
    .
    - The cars are doing about 185mph at the exit, which feels pretty quick, and you only brake for the harbour chicane at the 100-metre board. The braking area is downhill and a bit bumpy, so it's easy to lock up a wheel.
    .
c'mon Honda, gimme it some welly.... cheers well, ive gotta Honda, so ive gotta support them.. Laughing

cool, i do like the formula one although if you think about it the people that start in the first 10- really are going to win, if you're at the back u got no chance so whats the point?

Well to see which one of the best wins, and the best started out at the back at some point so there is your point, you never know the next new super driver could be in the lineup someplace

yes, and also theres actually a few different races going on within the main race.
drivers at the front are racing against each other.
drivers in the middle are racing against each other.
and... same with the back markers.
theres a lot going on with the different car manufacturers within that whole race.
but its still good to watch anyway.. Laughing

for tomorrows grand prix in monaco, weve got the Ferrari's in a 1 & 2 positions.
    then the McLaren's in a 3 & 4 positions,
the first corners could be fun to watch, see who's gonna get round in one piece Laughing
also.... Red Bull's David Coulthard crashed heavily towards the end of the second session as he emerged from the tunnel, the fastest point of the twisting street circuit where cars reach around 280 kph.
i saw that bit, he was a bit shaken up, you could see it in his face...
but... that'd been me..... you woulda smelled the fear comin from me, i woulda pooped meself.. lol!

well, you cant say monaco is a boring race......... lol!
after a few bumps n thumps, bashes n crashes, lewis hamilton brought the McLaren home to win the monaco 2008 grand prix.
The McLaren ace survived an early brush with disaster on a dramatic rain-hit afternoon on the tight and twisty streets, hitting the barrier at Tabac corner on lap five and puncturing a tyre.
Yet the mistake proved to be a blessing in disguise, as the unscheduled pit stop allowed McLaren to fill his car to the brim with fuel and delay his switch from intermediate to dry-weather tyres until the perfect moment. cheers
    .
Rosberg was taken to hospital for precautionary checks after his violent crash in the closing stages of the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Williams driver was recovering after having to twice pit for replacement front wings when he lost control on the entry to the Swimming Pool complex, slamming into the barriers on both sides of the track before finally coming to a halt.

yeah there was another one at the weekend wasn't there.. hamilton came like 10th , he had to have 2 penalties cos he drove offroad on a corner or something, but he got pushed off the road by another car so it's a bit unfair, hey got bumped back to like last postition. They're just out to get poor lewis lol. I though he did well though he makes some good comebacks. come on hammy!

he cut the corner at the chicane and the rules say if you cut a corner and gain a place by doing so, then you must give the place back.
but theres time yet for lewis to gain more experience.
